Opposition

There is opposition in all things. In order to know joy, we must know sorrow. If we didn’t we would not realize the fullness of joy. To know health, we need to know its opposite of illness or pain. The whole spectrum of human emotion is based on this simply principle that to recognize how wonderful life is, we must have at least a little taste of the contrary.
